My counseling philosophy & clinical expertise
My practice is rooted in a integrative counseling approach, blending Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) to create a holistic and client-centered experience. I continuously refine my clinical skills through training, ensuring a comprehensive and ethical foundation for client support. My commitment to theory development guides my tailored interventions for diverse populations, enabling me to effectively address various challenges.

Research, leadership & advocacy
Beyond direct client work, I engage in ongoing scholarly and professional development focused on trauma-informed, strengths-based, and ethical counseling practice, applying current research to my clinical training and work with children and families at Compass in Kearney, Nebraska. Through community and church partnerships, I advocate for increased access to mental health services in rural areas and promote equitable, high-quality care that supports resilience, healthy relationships, and family stability.

Mentorship & personal well-being
I value the transformative role of mentorship and intentionally seek guidance from experienced clinicians as I continue developing my professional identity. To sustain ethical and effective practice, I maintain a consistent wellness routine that includes regular exercise, reflective practices, and time for personal and spiritual renewal, which strengthens my resilience and presence as a counselor.
"My professional journey is a continuous pursuit of knowledge, skill, and compassion. I am dedicated to evolving as a counselor, ensuring the highest quality of care and contributing positively to the field."
